If you think your child or grandchildren may be the next Rachael Ray or Emeril take them to the Young Chef’s Academy. The school is set up for young ones to explore the art of cooking and baking. All classes feature hands on preparation and instruction on cooking techniques. Who knows, maybe they will learn so well that they will take over the cooking when they are home or visiting. The best part is you won’t have to clean anything off the ceiling after they make a mess in the kitchen.

Seaworld’s New Festival is JUST FOR KIDS

by on January 4, 2012 at 4:19 pm

Seaworld’s New Festival is JUST FOR KIDS

ORLANDO –

For four Saturdays only, your kids get to see concerts by some of their favorite performers: LazyTown, Max & Ruby, the Doodlebops, and Choo-Choo Soul. SeaWorld is hosting a brand new “Just for Kids” Festival on Saturdays starting January 14 – February 4.

Check out the line-up:

Saturday, January 14: LazyTown

Things are upside-down in LazyTown! Stephanie, Sportacus and others take kids on a fun journey while also promoting healthy lifestyles for children in a positive and catching way.

Saturday, January 21: Max & Ruby’s Musical Playdate

Celebrate the universal nature of sibling relationships in Max & Ruby’s Musical Playdate. Max & Ruby never quite want the same thing and their plans always collide – with hilarious results. Featuring upbeat and original songs, this playdate is sure to have the whole audience singing and hopping along!

Saturday, January 28: Doodlebops’ Musical Playdate

Get movin’ and groovin’ with the Doodlebops, a real favorite of all kids. Rock stars DeeDee, Rooney and Moe sing their favorite songs, tell their wackiest jokes and show off their funkiest dance moves.

Saturday, February 4: Choo-Choo Soul with Genevieve

Starring Genevieve Goings, Choo-Choo Soul allows parents to enjoy the same music their kids do. Featuring soulful and current renditions of the ABC’s, 1-2-3’s, and learning how to be polite, Choo-Choo Soul is a diverse and incredibly hip duo, teaching children through music on an animated train.

Concerts are included with park admission, with show times at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. at SeaWorld’s Nautilus Theater. But you may want to show up early. Tickets are given out on a first-come, first-serve basis starting at 9 a.m. each event day. You can pick up the concert tickets across from Nautilus Theatre.

Parents, you’ll like this part. On event days, you can rent strollers at half-price, and the following things are free for kids with each paid adult: all-day dining deal, sky tower ride, and free Penguins Up-close, Dolphins Up-close or Behind-the-Scenes tours.

Speaking of strollers, you might be tempted to snatch up one for yourself given the amount of enery your kids has that day. There’s even more stuff to see:

Shamu’s Party Zone

Located at Lakeside Patio, this lively area lets kids sing, dance, and bob around with a DJ spinning to a kid beat while bubbles float overhead. There are loads of interactive games, too, and kids can sit down for a face-painting session or make a sea-themed sand art souvenir with jewels and sea glass in the shape of dolphins, tropical fish, turtles and starfish. The Shamu character and others will be on hand for meet and greets, dancing and photos. (Please note: there will be a small fee to participate in face painting and sand art).

Practical Jokes – Lots Of Laughs

by on November 26, 2011 at 4:36 pm

TOILET TROUBLE – Put a piece of bubblewrap under the toilet seat so when your victim sits, they are surprised by a loud POP!

FORGETFUL – Tape magnets to the bottom of an empty coffee cup, and attach it to the top of your car. Laugh at all the people who frantically try to get your attention as you drive by.

CHEWY - Offer to make a sandwich for the victim. But don’t remove the wrapper from the slice of cheese. When they bite down they’ll get a chewy surprise.

SOUR JOKE  - Put a few drops of green food coloring in the milk to make it look as if it has soured. When someone pours it in the morning, they will think it has gone bad.
