Looking to bring in the New Year in style? Make your way to St. Augustine’s four-diamond resort, the Renaissance Resort at World Golf Village, for their New Year’s Eve party, “Diamonds, Denim and Decades”!! This should be a really fun way to bring in 2012! The resort is offering a party-only package, as well as packages that include a one-night stay or a two-night stay at the resort.
The party-only package is $75 per person (plus taxes and gratuity). Attendees will party in the resort’s St. Augustine Ballroom from 7:30 p.m.-1 a.m. High energy, local band, the Murray Goff Connection will provide live entertainment. This group includes accomplished musicians who have opened for superstars like Tito Puente and Boots Randolph! Included also is a welcome drink, 12 different food stations created by the resort’s executive Chef Brett Smith, a champagne toast at midnight, and a late night snack buffet. Of course, there’s a cash bar and all attendees must be 21 or older to attend.
The one-night stay package starts at $319 per couple, plus tax. It includes the “Party Package”, and (no surprise) a one-night stay at the resort! The two-night package (12/30-31 or 12/31-1/1) is also available, with rates starting at $448 per couple, plus tax.
Now for the good stuff! The golf at this resort is incredible! They offer two world-class golf courses. The first is King & Bear, it’s the only course ever created by Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus. The second is Slammer & Squire, which was designed with input from legends Sam Snead and Gene Sarazen – and located just steps from the resort! …and while it’s also thehome of the World Golf Hall of Fame, there’s no need to play golf to enjoy your stay.
The Renaissance Resort at World Golf Village is a fantastic place for a getaway, family or otherwise! It’s the largest hotel & conference center between Atlanta and Orlando. If you were there a few years ago, you may remember they were renovating. Well, they’re done and what was luxury before, has only gotten better! The new rooms now have the obligatory 37-inch flat-panel TVs, spa-inspired bathrooms, wi-fi, and wet bar. On the grounds is also a luxury spa, several dining options (including a supermarket nearby for the cost or diet-conscious), a pool, and a gym. Once you’ve left the hotel, you can enjoy the wonderfully historic town of St. Augustine!
If you’ve never been to St. Augustine, it’s one of those towns that can truly be defined as quaint! There are museums; the Henry Flagler’s Alcazar Hotel, with its distinctive Spanish Renaissance styling; horse drawn carriage rides throughout the city; and homes dating back to 1790 in Old St. Augustine Village. It’s also near the coast of Florida so the beach is nearby!
