If you’re in Orlando and looking to avoid the all of the heavy BCBS Florida Classic traffic. Stay off of West Colonial Drive between Hughley Ave and John Young Pkwy. Trust me, you’ll thank us later. Or if this weekend just happens to be a twix moment for you and you just want to get away here’s a few suggestions.
St. Petersburg
This weekend wake up early and head over to the Saturday Morning Market @ the Al Land Stadium Parking lot from 9am – 2pm. Here’s your chance to browse through 200 vendors and pick-up those few things you’ve needed.
ArtScape 2011 and CraftArt 2011 will both be taking place this weekend on Central Ave as well, from 10am – 5pm. You’ll ArtScape between 6th and 8th streets and CraftArt and the Florida Craftsmen at 501 Central Ave.
Then later that night stop by Straub Park for Chillounge for an experience like none other. Daybeds, Brazillian samba parade, live band, cash bar. There is a $25 admission at the gate that will benefit Creative Clay & The Woodson Museum.
On Sunday grab the kids and make your way over to Crescent Park for the KTYOGA hosted Karma Yoga project that helps teach children to respect their surroundings and be active participants in the community. This event takes place from 3:30 – 5pm and it is recommended that you bring a towel/blank and beverage for YOGA and trash bags and gloves for clean up.

Jacksonville
Calling all lovers of art. This Saturday make you way to the Museum of Contemporary Art, Jacksonville for Project Atrium with Gustavo Godoy as he gives an intimate talk about his recent project and his processes. This event is free with membership or admission, and begins @2pm on November 19, 2011. 
Palm Beach
A sweet tooth’s temptation but who could resist The Festival of Chocolate. This is Florida’s largest all-chocolate event held at the Palm Beach County Convention Center in West Palm Beach, FL. This is a show that travels so don’t be too worried if you can’t make it West Palm this weekend. Though you may not want to wait a whole 55days to have an opportunity to participate in the workshops, demonstrations by world class chefs, sample the goodies and learn Chocolate and Wine Pairings.
