Red Hot Chili Peppers Florida Show Postponed. See Below for New Dates
Florida heats up in January with the return of the Red Hot Chili Peppers!
The Red Hot Chili Peppers show scheduled for Florida has been postponed until March 30 to Apr 2. The dates on the band’s upcoming tour are being pushed back because lead singer Anthony Kiedis underwent surgery to remove a crushed sesamoid bone and correct a detached flexor tendon in his foot. He is expected to make a full recovery.
Red Hot Chili Peppers released their 16th album, I’m with You, in August 2011 and will kick off the New Year with the start of their US Tour on January 20 right here in the Sunshine State! The band has gone through several guitarists and is currently featuring guitarist, Josh Klinghoffer, who joined in late 2009 (John Frusciante left the band to focus on his solo career).
If you’re not familiar with them, RHCP is an incredibly funky rock band who has featured such artists as DeWayne McKnight (from Parliament-Funkadelic), John Frusciante, and Dave Navarro (from Jane’s Addiction). They have won seven Grammy Awards and sold over 70 million albums worldwide. They have had nine singles in the Top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100 (three in the Top 10) and currently hold the record for most number one singles on the Alternative Songs chart at 13. They have been named inductees into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and (when their US tour closes, before they go back to complete their European tour) will be inducted on April 14, 2012.
