Rock music is a type of popular music that developed during and after the 1960s, particularly in the UK and the United States. It has its roots in rock and roll but is strongly influenced by R & B and country music. Rock music also gets some of its sound from blues and folk music, and incorporated influences from jazz, classical and other musical sources.
