Florida 2012 Presidential Primary -Republican or Democrat – Be Prepared
Be prepared. We can’t emphasize that enough!
Whether you are a Democrat, Republican or Independent, YOU may HAVE TO VOTE AT THE PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARY on January 31, 2012.
The next statewide election will be Tuesday, January 31, 2012. Republicans will be choosing their favorite candidate at the Presidential Preference Primary. Everyone should show up at the polls, however, because it’s an important day for all voters in Florida!
For instance, Orange County voters will not only be voting in the Republican primaries, ALL VOTERS, REGARDLESS OF PARTY AFFILIATION, should be casting their ballot on a Tax Abatement question. Additionally, the cities of Ocoee, Windermere, Maitland and Winter Park will have city elections. In Alachua county it’s Presidential Preference Primary & city commission elections.
In Dade County, there are two proposals to amend the Miami-Dade County charter that all county voters are eligible to consider.
One proposed amendment to the Miami-Dade charter, which is the rulebook for county government, would set eight-year term limits for Miami-Dade commissioners —but exclude time in office before 2012 — while banning outside employment and raising their salaries to about $92,097 a year from $6,000.
