The Holiday Season is upon us, which means there’s all kinds of shopping to do.  I know you smart people out there are probably saying “I’ve done most of my shopping already, I’m practically done” kudos to you. But for the rest of us who like to take it down to the wire here’s some information you might like know.  First of all, we’ve missed Cyber Monday, but there’s no need to fret.  Consider Black Friday our make-up exam.  I’ve been scouring the web to find out what’s hot this season, who’s got the best deals, and for extra credit, timesavers and here’s what you’ll need to know.

Electronics are always a hot ticket item.  They are usually the most expensive item on your list, next to appliances and jewelry, but are always the most sought after.  And with such wide variety of gadgets and do-dads on the market there’s always some toy you must have.  I did happen across a site named TheBlackFriday which had a pretty comprehensive list of black friday deals.  What I like about this site is that it allows you to filter your search by category and retail outlet, which saved me time.  Now, whether you like to dominate the digital domain and shop online or go shoulder to shoulder with over-aggressive moms in your favorite retail outlet, this is what’ll you’ll find.  The Big Four:  Walmart, BestBuy, Target, Kmart

– Walmart Page 1 – TV’s and PCs, let’s start with 40″ 1080p Emerson LCD TV, $248 with 60Hz refresh rate. I couldn’t find anything of value that would rate it’s picture quality compared to other models but with a such small price tag, who really cares.  I did find however, that this set also has a pretty good energy rating, which should save you money on your electric bill.  And this baby was all over the internet so expect them to go fast.  Next up is the HP AMD Dual-Core Laptop for $248 as well.  This system runs off the E-350 accelerated processor and starts you off with a health 320GB hard drive and 3GB of memory which is pretty good.  Lastly the LG Blu-ray player for $49 is a steal.  Oh yeah, and don’t forget your HDMI Cable, they’ve got them too for $10 Monster 6′.  http://walmart.com

– BestBuy Page 1 – TV’s and PCs, lets start with the Sharp 42″ 1080p HDTV for $199.99 and follow that with the Toshiba 17.3″ Display Intel Pentium Processor, 4GB Memory, 320GB Hard Drive laptop for $349.99 exclusively at BestBuy.  BestBuy’s strategy is a little different. They will be running a corresponding campaign online in addition to their in-store “Doorbusters” with different deals on similar items.  The prices for the online items have yet to be released.  Also pay close attention to the fine print.  I’ve noticed that several items have an after savings sticker attached, which suggests a rebate or some sort, so hold on to receipts.  Two items in particular are the Toshiba 320GB External Hard Drive $29.99 after savings and the HP Omni All-In-One computer with its 20″ HD LED Display and 1TB of hard drive space for $399.99 after savings.  http://bestbuy.com

– Target Page 1 – TVs and PCs, the Amazon Kindle 3G leads the pack with its $85 price though I still don’t understand the fascination with these things.  Most phones and tablets have the same functionality plus more. Then check online for the Westinghouse 46″ 1080p LCD HDTV for $298.  This one is going to move fast.  And like the two franchises above they open the doors at midnight, which I appreciate in comparison the 4am wake call I’ve had to overcome in the past.  Target Black Friday Ad

– Kmart Page 1 – TVs and PCs, Go Big!  Grab the LG 47″ LCD 1080p 120Hz HDTV for $679.99, just keep in mind there a minimum of two per store which means if you’re not one of the first 5 people in the door forget it.  They won’t be a lot of these for that price. Or if that’s not big enough there’s the Zenith 50″ 720p Plasma HDTV for $549.99 online only.  But they are offering free store pickup.

And as a bonus, one of my favorite vendors for tech, newegg.com is releasing daily deals various items.  Today it’s 15% 3D monitors with promo code : BLKNOV3DM

As to be expected no rainchecks on any of these offers.  Of course these are not complete list, but I hope they help in highlighting some of the better deals.  We will continue to add more finds up to Nov 24, 2011.  For more details follow the included links for complete ad scans and happy hunting.
