Gasparilla Pirate Festival
EventFest, Inc. and Ye Mystic Krewe of Gasparilla announced today that The Swon Brothers will headline the Gasparilla Pre-Invasion Celebration, presented by Budweiser on Friday, January 29, 2016 …. the kick-off to an expanded Seminole Hard Rock Gasparilla Pirate Fest weekend in Tampa. The event will take place in downtown Tampa’s Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park, and gates will open at 5 p.m., with The Hip Abduction opening at 6 p.m.
General Admission (lawn seating) tickets are now available for $20 each, tax included. Tickets are available exclusively from EventFest, with online sales at www.GasparillaTreasures.com, or by phone at (813) 251-8844.
Howie Day has been confirmed as Special Guest, with The Hip Abduction opening the 2016 show. “We are delighted to host The Swon Brothers, Howie Day and The Hip Abduction for our 2nd Annual Gasparilla Pre-Invasion Celebration, presented by Budweiser on January 29th” said Darrell Stefany, President of EventFest and Project Manager for Tampa’s Gasparilla celebration. “Our goal is to expand what is recognized as one of the best parties in the nation with a memorable Pre-Invasion celebration and literally light-up Friday night as we make ready for Tampa’s historic Gasparilla Invasion and Parade on Saturday” Stefany added.
The Swon Brothers won NBC’s The Voice competition in 2014, and will open for Carrie Underwood’s 40-city Spring 2016 Tour beginning in Jacksonville on 1/30/2016.
