A great book to add to your library is The Red Pyramid. It tells the story of a brother and sister who are separated when their mother dies, causing them to grow up apart. They get back together when their father, an archeologist who travels around the world studying ancient Egyptian artifacts, takes them on a tour of a museum and they all get kidnapped. The kids escape and find out that they have hidden powers and are descendants of Egyptian gods, so they use those powers to try to help their father.
This book was really exciting. It’s a real page-turner so even though it looks big, it goes by really quickly. Mr. Riordan uses Egyptian mythology instead of Greek mythology in this series, but still keeps it relevant! You’ll never believe the end, it’s crazy! I give it a 5 out of 5!
