Will Muschamp seek victory in the FL-Ga series

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — William Larry “Will” Muschamp is an American college football coach and former player. He is the current head coach of the Florida Gators football team of the University of Florida. Muschamp, a former player for the Georgia Bulldogs, previously served as the defensive coordinator for the Auburn Tigers, LSU Tigers, and the Texas Longhorns. He was also the assistant head coach and defensive coordinator for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL).

Muschamp has gained a reputation both for his excellent defenses as well as his excited and fiery demeanor during games and practice.

Well, Will Muschamp already has faced two former teams and a former boss so far in this 2011 season.

Now, he goes against his alma mater.

Muschamp insists that any stories about him coaching against the Bulldogs would be “wasted ink.”

“Wherever I played has no bearing on this game at all,” Muschamp said.

Probably not, but it’s certainly a major story line leading up to one of the Southeastern Conference’s most revered rivalries Saturday in Jacksonville.
