There is a sub-shop in College Park that I visit regularly. I like it because of the easy going environment and the fact that it’s never too packed with people. Unfortunately, I am usually rushing in and out. I always knew there were a few stores further down from my sub-shop, but I’m usually preoccupied, and don’t bother to look around. Well, today I paid attention and it paid off!!!! I found a frozen yogurt store named Delish, and how appropriately named! The décor includes bright colors and contemporary tables, making it look like a kidzone that’s inviting for adults. This place looked so cool that I was compelled to take pictures even before I tasted the product. Seriously, I was sold.
As I sampled a few flavors, among the regulars and the favorites I ran across a Maple Bacon Doughnut flavor! (You heard me- a Maple Bacon Doughnut flavor!). So clearly this is a place that will satisfy the adventurous palate as well as the mundane. Scrolling through the toppings, I couldn’t help but notice there was a WALL full of them. They had everything imaginable from Oreo to Peanut Butter Cups. Again, a little something for everyone. The store is set up so that the customer grabs a cup and builds their own creation. The cost is determined by the ounce, so it works out really great for the nibbler!
What truly topped it off (pun intended) was Madeline. Madeline manages this location and makes the experience really pleasant. She was not only patient, but friendly, as I am one of those needy customers requiring help to calculate calories, cost or just figure out my “taste-mood” for that day. Madeline made me feel comfortable. She knew when to chime in, and when to step back, as though this really was an important decision for us both. She added that “something extra” for me.
Overall, my experience was an A. Great location, great staffing, great eats! It’s just…well…Delish!
